Las crisis en el desarrollo económico de Cuba

Since the dissolution of the European socialist bloc, the Cuban economy has been in a deep crisis that continues to be aggravated by the brutal trade and economic blockade by the United States. For more than 30 years, the island's government has been seeking to adapt its economic model to combine stability and growth with health, universal education and social justice. Economist Hiram Marquetti Nodarse offers in this new book in the CALAS/CLACSO collection a more comprehensive and consistent view of the various factors that have contributed to the development of economic imbalances in Cuba during the period 1990-2020. It also addresses the current conditions of the Cuban economic context, which is essential to understand the situation the island is going through.
